Some collaborations are built strategically. Others emerge naturally, when values align.
For TEMPORIS, the meeting with the Formula E universe in Monaco was not merely a fortunate scheduling opportunity, but the natural expression of an authentic affinity. If independent watchmaking speaks of precision taken to extremes, miniature engineering, performance, and mechanical emotion, Formula E translates those same principles into a contemporary language of mobility, technology, and competition at the highest level.
It was in this spirit that the TEMPORIS International Awards (TIA) x Formula E | Monaco Gathering took shape — an encounter built around a simple yet essential idea: authentic communities are formed around shared values. A passion for watches meets a passion for high-performance electric racing.
More than an event, TEMPORIS was conceived from the very beginning as a platform that brings together the most relevant voices in the watchmaking universe: collectors, journalists, retailers, creators, industry leaders, and enthusiasts who see watches as far more than simple luxury objects. And this vision began to expand organically from the very moment of the latest TEMPORIS Gala edition, when it became clear that the dialogue initiated there deserved to continue beyond the official stage.
Monaco was the natural choice.

Few places in the world manage to bring together engineering excellence, a culture of performance, and that particular kind of international energy that makes conversations truly memorable. In the context of Formula E, the Principality provided the perfect setting for a gathering that was never intended to be merely another networking cocktail, but rather an authentic meeting space for people who share the same passion for performance, design, and innovation.
The chosen venue, Emotion Club, played an essential role in shaping this atmosphere. In an exclusive, private setting — intimate enough for genuine conversations — TEMPORIS brought together over 80 participants from more than 10 countries, in a format that perfectly reflected the platform’s spirit: diverse, international, and deeply connected through authentic passion.
Among the guests in attendance were notable personalities from complementary worlds, from Jeff Dodds, CEO of Formula E, to global icon Ferruccio Lamborghini (not merely a coincidence of surname), who presented, in a world premiere, the first prototype from his new watch brand, LMB. Alongside them were well-known figures from the TEMPORIS International Awards jury, including Michel Loris, Pietro Tomajer, and Thomas Campion. Jeff co-hosted the evening alongside Dan Vardie, Founder of TEMPORIS, while Dr. Constantin Turchină, Consul General of Romania in the Principality of Monaco, also addressed guests during this special event.
The presence of representatives from independent brands and initiatives added another authentic dimension to the experience. Michael Merle, founder of Egeiro — described as the creator of the first asymmetrical watch — was present alongside his brand’s creations, while Nathalie Birk brought pieces from the Pointec Made in Germany collection to Monaco, representing the worlds of Zeppelin, Bauhaus, and Ruhla in a highly personal and authentic way.
Equally important was the presence of respected names from the independent ecosystem, including Sam Michalski, Steve Catena, Laetitia Rein, Noam Catena, Nola Catena, Michel Fisher, and Guillaume Cosco — individuals who actively contribute to shaping the contemporary conversation around independent watchmaking.
But the true value of the evening did not lie solely in the guest list.
It lived in the conversations that unfolded naturally, far removed from the formalism of traditional events. In the spontaneous encounters between collectors and creators. In the exchange of ideas between leaders from seemingly different industries, united by the same obsession with excellence. In the fact that, for a few hours, watchmaking was experienced exactly as it should be: as a cultural, emotional, and profoundly human experience.
This is, in essence, the spirit of TEMPORIS.
Not merely the celebration of excellence, but the building of a genuine community. A platform where established voices naturally coexist with fresh perspectives. A space where meaningful conversations continue beyond ceremonies, awards, and launches.
Monaco was not a final destination, but a new beginning.
And if this gathering demonstrated anything, it is that the appetite for such encounters exists — and it is strong.
The focus now turns to Zurich, where the next edition of the TEMPORIS Gala, on October 29, will take this vision even further. More voices. Even more diverse perspectives. An even broader community.
Because the future of watchmaking is not built in isolation.
It is built together.
