13TH EDITION RETURNS TO ZÜRICH UNDER THE NEW THEME – “TIME, UNWRITTEN”
Zürich, September 7, 2026: The TEMPORIS International Awards (TIA), known as the Golden Globes of global watchmaking, today unveils 78 finalist positions across 13 categories for its 13th edition, taking place on October 29, 2026, at Kongresshaus Zürich.
The 2026 theme, “Time, Unwritten,” is an invitation to see horology not as a finished canon, but as a living language – shaped by imagination, conviction, and the courage to create what comes next.
In the 13th edition of the TEMPORIS International Awards, 72 finalist positions across 12 public-vote categories span everyday elegance, high complications, radical design, space-age engineering, sustainability, and the independent energy of a new generation. A separate six-watch selection for TEMPORIS Jury Watch of the Year 2026 completes the 78-strong field.
Across the full shortlist, 54 watchmaking names are represented. Parmigiani Fleurier leads with four finalist positions. Armin Strom, Cartier, Patek Philippe, and TAG Heuer follow with three each. A further 13 names secure two places apiece: A. Lange & Söhne, Baume & Mercier, Breitling, Frédérique Constant, H. Moser & Cie., Jaeger-LeCoultre, Konstantin Chaykin, Laurent Ferrier, Rolex, Tudor, Ulysse Nardin, Urwerk, and Vacheron Constantin. In total, 18 brands appear more than once – a striking measure of both consistency and competitive depth.
On the individual watch ranking, two creations achieve a rare triple recognition: the Armin Strom Minute Repeater Resonance 12:59 First Edition and the Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux are each selected for TEMPORIS Best Complication Watch, TEMPORIS Watch of the Year 2026, and TEMPORIS Jury Watch of the Year 2026. The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar Lumen, Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Hybris Inventiva Gyrotourbillon à Stratosphère, and Ulysse Nardin Super Freak each earn two finalist positions.
The breadth of the selection is the clearest expression of “Time, Unwritten.” Established maisons stand beside independent ateliers and emerging studios; traditional métiers meet new materials, new energy systems, and new ideas about how a watch can look, feel, and matter. The shortlist does not describe a single future of watchmaking. It reveals many futures being written at once.
One chapter, however, remains deliberately unwritten. TEMPORIS is preparing a special moment for the 2026 Gala – conceived as a meaningful extension of what the Awards can represent. Its nature will remain under wraps until closer to the event. For now, the only certainty is that Zürich will encounter it first.

A GALA WRITING THE NEXT CHAPTER
The 13th TEMPORIS International Awards Gala returns to Kongresshaus Zürich on October 29, 2026, for a black-tie evening bringing together leading watchmakers, executives, collectors, media, and creative voices from across the international horological community. More than an awards ceremony, the Gala is designed as a meeting point between heritage and possibility – a stage where established excellence and emerging vision receive equal attention.
The international TEMPORIS Jury continues to unite respected journalists, creators, collectors, executives, and multidisciplinary voices. Its dedicated Jury Watch of the Year category brings six of the year’s most ambitious creations into a separate expert evaluation, while the public vote keeps the wider watch community at the heart of the Awards.
Behind the scenes, the 2026 edition is also building toward something the Awards have not presented before. No further details will be released yet. The reveal will arrive on its own time.
