TEMPORIS International Awards Gala Returns to Zurich for its 11th Edition
Zurich, October 25, 2024 – The 11th TEMPORIS International Awards Gala took place this past Wednesday, bringing a stunning red-carpet event to the heart of Zurich. The ceremony gathered an exclusive audience captivated by the latest trends and innovations in the watchmaking world.
The highlight of the evening was the long-awaited awards ceremony, celebrating exceptional horological achievements across 14 categories. Leading honors included Watch of the Year 2024, awarded to Parmigiani Fleurier for its Toric Petite Seconde, and the 2024 Jury Prize, given to De Bethune for its DB Kind of Grande Complication. Awards such as Best Sustainable Watch, Best Innovative Watch, and Best Startup Watch were also presented, reflecting evolving trends and emerging priorities in the watch industry.
Founded by Dan Vardie in 2011, the TEMPORIS International Awards Gala is recognized as one of the most prestigious European events dedicated to horology. Positive reception over the years has encouraged TEMPORIS to expand its international reach for this 11th edition. Each year, the gala unites an audience passionate about watches and authentic brands, welcoming prominent industry leaders, renowned watchmakers, collectors, and horology enthusiasts to celebrate the field.
This year’s event brought together watch enthusiasts from over 80 countries, who helped select winners in the 14 categories defined by the TEMPORIS international jury. This independent jury, one of the largest in the watchmaking world, comprises 31 renowned experts from three continents. Led by prominent figures such as Jean-Claude Biver, Jeff Dodds, Astrid Wendlandt, Fabienne Lupo, Fanny Queloz, Xavier Dietlin, Jean-Claude Eggen, and Giorgio Galli, the jury also welcomed seven new expert watchmakers this year.
For the first time, the TEMPORIS International Awards Gala 2024 was held at the Kongresshaus Zurich. The evening began with an exclusive cocktail reception bringing together industry experts, watch collectors, and celebrities. Guests then enjoyed the main event with the announcement of the winners across 14 categories:

Each TEMPORIS International Award was presented to a representative of the winning brands as a symbol of their outstanding achievements and dedication to their craft.

The international Jury has been completed not only with personalities from all the metiers of our watch industry but also with collectors, key executives from other industries. For the first time, coming from a global study conducted by TIA organization, we communicate the number of people interested in learning news about watches: around 320 million people worldwide! This year during the public voting process we reached an audience of more than 13 million, out of which more than 7 million are unique individuals from 82 countries around the world. Some hundreds of thousands visited the site to express their opinions on the 12 categories of this year. This year’s Galas show also featured a premiere with the use of AI. We are very happy with the impressive evolution of our Oscar of global watchmaking.”
