TEMPORIS International Awards Gala Returns to Zurich for its 10th Anniversary

Zurich, October 27, 2023: The TEMPORIS International Awards Gala celebrated its 10th anniversary with a spectacular red-carpet event held yesterday in the heart of Zurich. The gala gathered an exclusive audience excited about the latest trends and innovations in the world of watches.

 

Founded by Dan Vardie in 2011, the TEMPORIS International Awards Gala is considered to be one of the most sought-after European events dedicated to the watch industry. The positive feedback received by TEMPORIS International Awards over the years has motivated the event to expand further internationally for its 10th edition. The gala gathers an educated-elitist public, united by their passion for watches and genuine brands. It is an important event for the watch industry, as key executives of the industry, well-known watchmakers, and watch enthusiasts attend the event.

Every year, award-winning brands and watches in various categories, such as “Best Ladies Quartz Watch” and “Watch of the Year” are announced. For this year’s award event in Zurich, watch enthusiasts from more than 70 countries were able to select award winners from 14 categories chosen by the international TEMPORIS Jury members. Today, the TEMPORIS Jury is on of largest independent watch jury, consisting of 23 of the world’s most renowned watch experts from three continents. With Jean-Marc Wiederrecht and Thomas Campion, two experienced watch experts have joined the jury this year.

The TEMPORIS International Awards gala was held at the historic Petit Palais ballroom of the Hotel Baur au Lac in Zurich. It opened with a cocktail reception that welcomed an exclusive group of industry experts, watch collectors, and celebrities. The evening was enriched by a series of magic performances, musical entertainment, and an exquisite 3-course menu. Finally, Jean-François Mojon, Technical Director at Cyrus and founder of Chronode, was announced as a new member of the TEMPORIS Hall of Fame, a unique gallery of the most important watchmakers, designers, and inventors of Haute Horlogerie.

The highlight of the event was the announcement of the winners in 14 categories:

  8. Best Complication Watch: Patek Philippe Grand Complication 5316/50P

Each TEMPORIS International Award was handed to a representative of the winning brands as a symbol of their remarkable achievements and dedication to their respective fields.
