TEMPORIS INTERNATIONAL AWARDS voting CATEGORIES

More than a decade ago, TEMPORIS Magazine launched a bold new standard in the world of fine watchmaking: the TEMPORIS International Awards Gala.

With 14 original, forward-looking categories, the competition redefined traditional watch industry awards, offering a fresh, modern perspective that reflects the lifestyle and values of today’s collectors. All winners are voted by readers around the world, and the 2024 categories are crafted to be universal, relevant, and easy to embrace in today’s horological landscape.

The first eight Gala editions were held in Bucharest, Romania. After a two-year pause during the pandemic, the event moved to Zurich, where the last three editions took place. The next Gala – October 2, 2025 – will again light up Zurich with a celebration of excellence.

While most categories are dedicated to mechanical watches, we’ve always recognized the broader ecosystem. That’s why we include a special category for quartz ladies’ watches and a pioneering category for connected timepieces — introduced in 2015 as a world first.

In 2023, we also launched a standout category celebrating the best watch presented at Watches & Wonders, honoring it as that year’s Masterpiece.

Each TEMPORIS category revolves around practical, technical value, offering guidance for both collectors and first-time buyers. Our aim is to help watch lovers choose timepieces that not only fascinate but also fit seamlessly into everyday life.

We’ve also created a space for non-traditional design and innovative functions, spotlighting creative freedom and honoring the full diversity of the watchmaking world.

Over time, the TEMPORIS categories have become an industry reference — clear, memorable, and proudly quoted by the Maisons that win them.

The TEMPORIS Gala is more than an awards ceremony — it’s a statement of relevance, independence, and cultural impact. It brings together visionary creators, bold designs, and the passionate community that shapes the future of horology. In an industry often defined by tradition, TEMPORIS dares to celebrate innovation, function, and the evolving story of time.

TEMPORIS INTERNATIONAL AWARDS 2024 audience votinG

To celebrate the 11th edition of the TEMPORIS International Awards Gala, we once again invited the global public to choose the winners.

For only the second time in the history of the Gala, watch enthusiasts from over 80 countries cast their votes, deciding which brands and timepieces deserved to take home a TEMPORIS Award. Their voice shaped the outcome — making this edition a true celebration of global taste and horological passion.

*The vote for 2025 will be announced in the second half of the year.
